Proposal
The Project Proposal document is prepared in order to clarify all business-related and technical issues.
Project Proposal covers the following points:
1) Terms of Service. We offer very attractive conditions for our customers such as: payment by milestones; guarantee; training; product support; customer support; end-user product support; monitoring; etc.
In the Proposal we state:
- Conditions and plan of payment
- Length of free support period
- Warranty period (free bug fixing)
- Post-project AceSupportTM services
We are ready to consider any of customer's additional requirements concerning conditions of the service.
2) Development, Management and Testing Team planning. Optimal team planning is the most efficient way to maximize the result of the project. Depending on project size, length, complexity, and our previous experience, a certain team of developers is chosen. Typically it consists of:
Project Manager
Team leader – the most experienced developer in the team
Developer(s)
Designer(s)
Tester(s)
3) Time and Cost Estimation. Cost of our services is calculated on the basis of time costs and hour rate. Based on the planned structure of a team and Software Requirements, we estimate the total sum of man-hours necessary for execution of the project. The total cost of development can also include other charges such as unique hardware, third-party services, etc. At this stage, this is a draft cost-estimation only. Some changes are possible when we begin to develop a complete Project Documentation at Architecture Stage. In most cases, our Time and Cost Estimations drafts are of high precision and do not vary for more than 10-15% compared to the final estimation.
4) Timetable Design. We develop Timetable for each team member as well as General Timetable for the entire project, which is based on total man-hours of work. The Timetable is a list of all project work beginning with project documentation development and ending with functional implementation and testing. This level of scheduled detail helps both sides see how the project will progress. Further, upon request of the customer, any of these stages can be designated as Checkpoints.
5) Define Milestones, Checkpoints and Deadlines. In order to meet deadlines and control intermediate results, we divide the Timetable into separate Milestones:
- Prototype
- Alpha Version
- Beta Version
- Final Version
- Delivery and assignment of specific calendar dates for demonstration of results.
Additional Checkpoints (demonstration of certain results on a certain date) can be included to any stage (upon customer's request).
